Happy Halloween!

This year on Halloween, I had a doctor's appt :( However, since it was in Utah County, I was able to take some extra time to go see my dad and to also see my little nephew, Hurley in his costume. He was a fish and looked SO cute!!
For Halloween night we had planned on staying home, watch a scary movie & hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters. But we ended up going to John's parents for dinner and when we got home, there were no trick-or-treaters :( Although we must've missed a few because when we got home, the "lid" of my pumpkin was missing! Not the whole pumpkin, just the "lid" was gone. So we played with the boys outside for a bit and just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Trunk-or-Treat

Today we had our annual Chili luncheon and costume party at work. Almost everyone participated and got dressed up. We decided to do it today instead of tomorrow since we're doing a Trunk-or-Treat for the kids at 'The Christmas Box House' after work and we don't really want to get dressed up today and tomorrow. This year me, Courtney & Destini decided to make tutu's and be witches. Destini made one for her little girl so we thought it would be fun to do the same. I mean, when else could 3 grown girls get away with wearing tutu's? LOL. We won the "Best Overall" costume and got a giftcard to the Megaplex Theatres. Thanks to all who voted for us! Amber (the receptionist) won "Most Creative", she was a bag of jelly belly's. Mike won "Scariest", he was a proctologist...enough said.

After work we all went to The Christmas Box to do a trunk-or-treat for the kids. Due to privacy issues, we were not allowed to take pictures while the kids were out, but before they came out I took some pictures of the "trunks". Some of the guys from work really got into it and went all out. We all had a good time and it was a lot of fun to see the kids and see how excited they were. Some of these kids have never been Trick-or-Treating so it was so great that we could do this for them. Congratulations to "The Wheat's" who took 1st place and "The Shemwell's" who took 2nd in the "Best Trunk" contest voted by The Christmas Box House kids themselves.

Pumpkin Carving

Sunday, right after getting home from my St. George trip, we went to my mom's house for our annual pumpkin carving! After we carved the pumpkins we BBQ'd some steaks and had dinner. This is one of my favorite traditions and we had so much fun.

St George & Thriller

This past weekend I went to St. George with The Rasmussen's to see "Thriller" at the Tuacahn Theatre. I rode down with Lynzie & Marq on Friday after work and we stayed at Marq's parents St George house. Saturday after breakfast, all the girls went shopping for the afternoon and then we went to hang out at the pool. The weather was absolutely perfect and it felt so nice to sit by the pool, read, listen to my ipod, hang out and get some sun before winter. When we got back to the house, Lynzie and I helped make the stew for dinner. We then got ready for the play and the girls got all dressed up. Lynzie & I were devils :) The play was a little different than the one we've seen at the "U" in previous years but was a lot of fun. Thanks to Marq's mom (Kae) for the invite and letting me stay at their beautiful house....and thanks to Lynzie for being the bestest friend ever. I had tons of fun!!

InfiniTeam girls weekend

This year, the girls from work and I got to spend TWO nights in Park City instead of one. We stayed at the amazing Silver Baron Lodge in Deer Valley. Our condo was beautiful and we had our own private hot tub! We spent the weekend hanging out in our jammies, eating too many treats, playing dominos, talking, shopping and lazing around. It felt so good to just relax. We also each got $100 and we had so much fun spending it :) Saturday night we all went to a play at the Egyptian Theatre on Main Street called "Pageant". It's about men pretending to be women competing in a Miss Glamouresse pageant. I was laughing so hard I cried! Sunday before heading home, Destini, Courtney & I stopped at the Park City Sillyfest on Main Street and then the outlets to do a little more shopping. So minus the major drama of checking in, we all had a great time and a lot of laughs! Thank you Steve & Terri for a wonderful weekend!! (Go InfiniTeam! LOL)
