Our first Family Pictures

Sunday we had our first family pictures taken! Kim (Lynzie's sister-in-law) drove up from St George and took picture's of Weston and then our family :) Although Weston was a little fussy, he did pretty good and Kim got some ADORABLE pictures of him!! I was so excited and they turned out SO good! We even got a good family picture with the doggers who were challenging. We had Lynzie and her mother-in-law Kae help with the doggers...thanks guys! And thanks Kim for the AWESOME pictures! I LOVE THEM!

Pumpkin carving

Yesterday we did our traditional pumpkin carving at my mom's house. We all got together to carve our pumpkins and have some yummy corn chowder & homemade chicken noodle soup. I can't wait until next year when Weston is a little older and will know what's going on. This year he just slept the whole time :)

We were missing Shane and Jake but it was still alot of fun. Jake had an allergic reaction to his H1N1 swine flu shot so he stayed home with his mom. We missed ya Jakey!!

Erickson Baby Shower

Yesterday John's mom (whom we call Pixie) and his sister Jocelyn, had a post baby shower for us. A lot of his aunt's and cousins from both his mom & dad's side came, as well as the girls from Pixie's quilt group. I don't know all of them that well but it was very nice that they all came to support us. They were all so generous, and it was really cool to have a shower AFTER the baby is born so that all the guests can see Weston. It was fun to have John there too. The food was delicious, everything was so pretty, the weather was nice, and Jocelyn made a really cute diaper cake. (*to hear a funny story about the diaper cake, see below). John's parents are excellent hosts. Thank you everyone for all the love and support!! It was a really good day and we got lots of good stuff! "Grazie!"

*The day or two before the shower, we had stopped by at John's parents, and his dad said to me "have you seen that diaper cake thing that the girls have been working on?" Pixie kind of gasped and said "noooo, she wasn't supposed to know". Then his dad felt bad and said "Ohhh, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to say anything". LOL.

9 Months & PAST DUE!!

Ok, so I am officially PAST DUE! Yesterday was our little guy's "due date" and he is still not wanting to come out. I don't know what it's going to take to get him to come out, but I hope it's soon. I was done being pregnant about 3 weeks ago. At times it feels like he's ready and things are starting, but then....nothing. He changes his mind and wants to stay inside. John says it's my fault because Halona's are always late. Which I have to admit, is true. This is definately my kid and has native blood running thru his veins because he is apparently running on Indian Time. LOL :) So in the meantime, we are trying to be patient (which isn't working very well), staying busy, going for walks, bouncing on a yoga ball, and trying to relax. I'm taking castor oil in a few minutes to see if that kick starts anything. My little sister said it worked for her. I guess we'll see if it works for me. Cross your fingers!!
